our VISITING FACULTY

Dr. Mohan Sarabu is a visiting Cardiac Surgeon from New York, the USA. Dr. Sarabu has been visiting the hospital as a visiting faculty since 2008. Here he shares his experiences of working in the hospital.

" It is so gratifying to be in Swami's hospital because here you are in direct contact with Swami. Secondly Swami says 'We are born in the society, grow up in the society, live in society...' so there is a major responsibility towards the society and also my Motherland, which I am fulfilling. I am totally astonished at the level of care, complexity of the cases and the dedication of the surgeons and staff in this hospital. Almost every technology, which is available in the world is available at the SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram and the care is provided completely free of charge, which is unheard of. This hospital should be a role model for the entire world."

Dr. Venkitachalam Mohan is a visiting Biochemist from the USA. He visited the hospital in February first week for seva. The following are his experiences:

"I have worked for 35 years in a clinical laboratory in a hospital in the USA. I am coming to serve the Biochemistry Department of Laboratory Services at the SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram, for the past five years in the month of February. To work in the SSSIHMS laboratory is a great experience for me. All the biochemistry work for SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram, Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital and General Hospital are done here. The lab has Cobas C311, Cobas E411 Biorad D-10 for HBAIC and Osmometer. All these instruments are pretty sophisticated and top to the line. They are interlinked with the digital backbone of the hospital. This facilitates the Clinician to see the results from anywhere across the hospital. By the Grace of Swami I got this opportunity and I pray to Swami to give me the strength  to come and serve His great hospital every year."
